Dragon's Lodge
You rent the whole 6,500 sq ft oceanfront lodge and plan your own wedding; most rentals are weddings. No tents or RVs allowed, no outdoor amplified music, and cancellation within 120 days forfeits the deposit.

The music
No end time is set, but the Gabriola noise bylaw prohibits amplified music outdoors at any time.
The room
Up to 80 guests. Up to 50 event guests are included; 80 is the maximum, with an extra $100 flat fee.
Getting there
21 km from downtown Nanaimo — book a shuttle for guests.
The money
$12,000 — Peak-season (May 1 – Sept. 30) weekend rental is a three-night minimum and covers the whole lodge, including its 11 bedrooms. A $2,000 deposit holds the date and the balance is due 60 days before arrival. Rates change by season, so confirm with the venue.
